When you run a business—especially in a high-pressure, live-event industry like ours—it’s easy to get caught in the grind. The schedules, the logistics, the fire drills… it never really stops.  But here’s the truth most high performers won’t admit out loud:If you don’t disconnect, you dull your edge.  Constant problem-solving without rest doesn’t make you more productive—it actually makes you reactive. Over time, your creativity flattens, your patience shrinks, and your ability to make strategic decisions suffers.

That’s why stepping away—to reset, to create, to play—isn’t a luxury.It’s a necessity.

“For Me, It’s Music”

When I’m not running productions, I’m in the studio—producing songs, remixing ideas, creating videos or DJing something new. I don’t do it for profit. I do it to sharpen the axe. That creative outlet helps me return to my business with more clarity, stronger instincts, and better energy.

Whether it’s music, painting, training, or just unplugging for a few hours, every leader needs a ritual of recovery. So, if you’ve been running nonstop like me, listening to new music or tapping into your creative side might just help you be that much more productive
